As my great great grandfather always said, “If you’re traveling all the way to France for a wedding you may as well do a second one while you’re at it.”Apparently Tiffany and Simon were given the same advice. Since Tiffany is American and Simon is French the entire week of festivities was actually a mixture of traditions. The following photos are from their civil ceremony, which is required by French law as part of the marriage process.
This has been a long time coming but we can’t wait to share the beauty of Montpellier and Tiffany and Simon’s wedding in the south of France. Tiffany and Simon invited us not only to take photos of their wedding but to capture several days of events leading up to it. We’ll share a bit of the experience over the next few days, but to start it off: wine tasting and an outdoor feast put on by Simon’s family.
The past year has been super busy (huge understatement) and there were tons of weddings that never made it to the blog. I thought it would be fun to revisit a few of those starting with Ashley and Kirk’s gorgeous wedding that took place at St. Ignatious church in San Francisco and the Burlingame Country Club.
The latest edition of “Where in the World is Cooper Carras” brings me to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’m here for Connie and Andrew’s upcoming destination elopement on Monday (super exited about that)! I made it in Saturday morning, napped at the hotel for an hour or two (plus three hours of sleep on the 15 hour flight) and hit the town with some ex-pat friends from the US for steak (of course), barhopping, and eventually a random rooftop party complete with video art projected on the side of the neighboring high-rise. Good times! I finally made it home at 4:30am, which I’d like to blame on jetlag, but that’s just how they roll down here.

Lauren and Vance’s beautiful daytime wedding at the Lyford House in Tiburon, California. The property is a wildlife sanctuary for the National Audubon Society, which served as inspiration for their awesome bird place cards and decorations. Also on my list of loves: Lauren’s dress (Ralph Lauren), the flowers (Scentiments), the catering (Paula LeDuc), and most of all the laid back atmosphere.
I’m back from Bali! Last week I photographed Cat and Chang’s wedding in Indonesia (more on that fantastic event when the photos are edited) and I put together a little video clip of random sights/memories from along the way. Enjoy!

I didn’t even bother to unpack my suitcase after returning from Colorado because I had to turn right around and head to upstate New York for the followup reception to Tiffany and Simon’s wedding in the south of France (I’ll get around to blogging about that one soon). It was a whirlwind trip so I didn’t really get to experience Saratoga Springs, but it was so much fun to catch up with all of the amazing people that I became friends with in Europe.
