We smiled and nodded thinking that it was just an exaggeration. Little did we know the party would end at 6am and the groom’s parents would be among the last people standing (we only made it to 3am). Now that’s a party!

Destination wedding tip #2487987: What to do if your guests are from different countries and don’t speak the same language.
The groom’s aunt organized a mixer where guests were randomly assigned to groups and given the task of acting out lines from The Little Prince in French, German, Spanish, Italian, English, etc.. The activity was a great ice breaker and the guests put on an entertaining show for the bride/groom.

Final note (no pun intended), everyone at the wedding seemed to be musically or artistically inclined in some way (one bridesmaid is even a Rockette!). The best man wrote a song for the groom (which we loved!), the groom’s sisters sang a song for the couple and the groom and his family serenaded the bride. Bravo!
