I figured my experience photographing the president would only live on in memory (who’s going to take photos of the photographer?).  Fortunately a guest happened to snap this shot at the very end and I’m so grateful they did!

I had the unique experience of photographing President Obama yesterday.  I was at his side for about 40-minutes snapping candid photos as he met with political donors and I also took a portrait of him with the family that hosted the event.  I’ll post a few of the photos after they are approved by the White House.  That’s fun to to say!  Another good one is “you’ve been cleared by Secret Service.”

I think the only way I could ever top this experience is to have a portrait session with The President by himself.  Unlimited time would be nice too.  The pace at which everything happened yesterday was incredible.  No time to think, just snap snap snap away.

Argentina

The latest edition of “Where in the World is Cooper Carras” brings me to Buenos Aires, Argentina for a destination elopement.  Super exited about that!  Upon arrival I hit the town with some ex-pat friends from the US for steak (of course), barhopping, and eventually a random rooftop party with video art projected on the side of the neighboring high-rise. Good times! I finally made it home at 4:30am, which I’d like to blame on jetlag, but that’s just how they roll down here.
